Data Input

CDS realizes that automated interfaces cannot be developed to every system -- therefore, data input services are offered to take the place of interfaces such as EDI.

Client Systems

As part of an overall client support package, CDS personnel can input information relating to receipts, shipments, inventory levels, and adjustments. Transportation Management Systems, which bridge the gap between clients and carriers, are also included here.

Carrier Systems

CDS can input data into carriers' systems for order or load scheduling. Additionally, controlled access can be provided to drivers for their data input into carrier systems upon their arrival and departure at a CDS dock office.

Consignee Systems

Larger retail consignees often have particular requirements regarding load scheduling and shipments. As with clients, CDS can incorporate data input into these consignees' systems as part of the overall order shipment process.

Transport and Security

Internet access is available at all CDS sites; CDS will work with individual clients, carriers, and consignees on their transport requirements, including putting in place the necessary hardware and software (e.g., to implement a VPN) to guarantee security
